Overcoming Graduation Obstacles: How to Navigate School Challenges When Time Is Running Out
Many students face unexpected hurdles on their path to graduation, and sharing a recent experience can help others find solutions. Recently, I encountered a significant setback that’s threatening my ability to graduate on time — I just need a single credit to complete my degree, but my school’s administration has been uncooperative.

Compounding this difficulty, my school recently eliminated its work leave program, leaving me with little flexibility. They insist I fill my schedule with courses I’ve already completed or do not need, regardless of whether I attend classes virtually or in person. This rigidity makes it harder for me to balance work and study effectively.
My goal is clear — I need to find a way to fulfill that remaining credit without wasting time on redundant coursework. I’m seeking advice or strategies to navigate this situation, whether through administrative appeals, independent study options, or other creative solutions that allow me to graduate promptly and support myself simultaneously.
