Teachers, I am PLEADING with you to turn the heat up.

Dear Teachers,

I’m reaching out with a humble request: could you please raise the temperature in our classroom? If that’s not possible, could you at least stop blasting us with cold air? It only makes it harder for us to focus. Instead of engaging with your lesson on the preterite, we’re distracted by the cold, daydreaming about warm blankets and hot cocoa. I think you can see how that might impact our performance.

Sure, I could wear a jacket, but let’s be honest—a jacket is just a thin version of a blanket. Here I am, in a practically icy room, wrapped in a jacket while you’re explaining polynomials. Have you ever tried to stay alert in a cold room, with a semi-warm “blanket” over you, while someone explains something complex? It’s a struggle.

Please, just make the classroom a bit more comfortable, and I promise I’ll pay attention. I certainly don’t want to fail this class any more than you want to see me fail. You don’t need to install a heater—just tone down the Arctic conditions so we can all thrive. Thank you!

  1. I completely understand your struggle! It’s tough to focus when you’re doing your best to stay warm instead of absorbing the lessons being taught. A little adjustment can go a long way in creating a comfortable learning environment. Maybe teachers could consider a compromise—like turning down the AC or at least giving us the option to bring in a warm drink during class. Everyone benefits when students can fully engage, and I’m sure nobody wants to feel like they’re in a freezer while trying to learn about polynomials! Here’s hoping for a warmer classroom experience for everyone!

Beyond […]

I’m in a bit of a tough situation and could use some advice. Some classmates decided it would be amusing to find a random explicit photo online and claim it was mine. These are the same people who make fun of my weight, even though I’m 5’11” and around 65 kg. If anyone has any […]

my schools prom is bonkers

My school’s prom is absolutely crazy! Can you believe the tickets are $105 each? They’re also transporting everyone to a hotel, and we’ll have dinner with reserved tables? This has to be wild, right? Someone please tell me I’m not losing it—this can’t be typical!
