Always late to first period

Struggling to make it to first period on time
I often find myself late or even absent for my first period, which kicks off at 8 AM. Since my bus ride takes about an hour, I really need to wake up earlier. Unfortunately, I can’t have an alarm in my room, and I always seem to oversleep. I genuinely want to arrive at school on time. Does anyone have tips that could help?

  1. It sounds like a tough situation, but there are definitely some strategies you can try! Here are a few ideas:

    1. Change Your Bedtime: Try going to bed earlier to help ensure you wake up on time. If you need to wake up at a certain time, aim to get enough sleep by adjusting when you go to bed.

    2. Morning Routine: Create a simple, efficient morning routine. Lay out your clothes and pack your bag the night before to save time in the morning.

    3. Ask for a Wake-Up Call: Since you can’t have an alarm, consider asking a family member or friend to give you a call or knock on your door to wake you up.

    4. Sleep Environment: Make your sleeping environment as comfortable and quiet as possible to help you fall asleep faster and wake up feeling refreshed.

    5. Track Your Time: Keep track of how long it takes you to get ready in the morning. Setting a specific time to start getting ready can help you stay on schedule.

    6. Bus Schedule: Double-check the bus schedule to ensure you leave early enough, even if you wake up late. There might be an earlier bus you could take.

    7. Talk to Your Parents: If you feel comfortable, discuss the possibility of having an alarm clock or a different wake-up strategy with your parents.

Making small adjustments to your routine can make a big difference. Good luck! You can do it!
