im failing geometry

I’m really struggling with geometry. With only two and a half months of school left, I’m sitting at a 40%, and I’m really worried about summer school and my GPA. I just can’t seem to grasp the material, even when I try to focus—my mind keeps wandering. Honestly, I’m feeling really overwhelmed with school in general. I often think about switching to online classes because I feel so lost right now. Any advice or support would be really appreciated.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds really overwhelming, but I want you to know that you’re not alone, and there are steps you can take to improve your situation.

    1. Talk to Your Teacher: Consider reaching out to your geometry teacher. Let them know you’re struggling and ask if they can provide extra help or resources. They might have suggestions specifically tailored to your situation.

    2. Find a Study Buddy: Sometimes having someone to study with can make a huge difference. Look for friends or classmates who understand the material better and see if you can study together.

    3. Utilize Online Resources: There are many online resources like Khan Academy, YouTube tutorials, and educational websites that can help explain concepts in a different way.

    4. Break It Down: Try breaking your study sessions into smaller, manageable chunks. Focus on one concept at a time and take short breaks to keep your mind fresh.

    5. Stay Organized: Make a list of topics you need to review, and prioritize them. This can help you focus on what’s most important to improve your grade.

    6. Talk to Someone: If you’re feeling overwhelmed or having thoughts of harming yourself, it’s really important to talk to someone who can help, whether that’s a friend, family member, or mental health professional.

    7. Take Care of Yourself: Make sure you’re getting enough sleep, eating well, and finding some time for things you enjoy to help alleviate some of that school stress.

Remember, it’s okay to ask for help, and with some focused effort, you can turn things around. You’ve got this!

Child Development Classes I’m curious—did any of you have a program in your high school child development classes where you got to observe and care for real children? I participated in something like that, but I haven’t heard of many others having the same experience. Just thought I’d ask! 😊

It was really frustrating since those passes weren’t just for the bathroom; they also covered trips to lockers, the office, and more. Thankfully, things have gotten […]
