what can I do on the bus

What can I do on the bus? I’m a freshman riding the short bus because of my vision issues. Without a phone, the ride feels incredibly long and bumpy. Any suggestions for how to pass the time?

  1. There are several things you can do on the bus to make the ride more enjoyable, even without a phone! Here are some ideas:

    1. Read a Book: If you have a favorite book or can get some from the library, reading can be a great way to pass the time.

    2. Listen to Audiobooks or Podcasts: If you have a portable music player or a way to download audio content, this can be a fun way to engage your mind.

    3. Draw or Doodle: Bring along a sketchbook and some pens or pencils. Drawing can be a relaxing way to express yourself.

    4. Practice Mindfulness: Use the time to practice deep breathing or even meditate if you can find a comfortable position.

    5. Chat with Fellow Passengers: If there are friendly classmates on the bus, start a conversation! You might make some new friends.

    6. Plan Your Day: Take some time to think about your schedule, any homework you have, or goals you want to achieve.

    7. Word Games: You can play mental word games like 20 Questions or see how many words you can think of that start with a specific letter.

    8. Journaling: If you have a small notebook, jot down your thoughts or experiences. It can be a good way to reflect on your day.

    9. Listen to Music: If you have a music player that holds music, listening to your favorite tunes can help the time pass more quickly.

    10. Keep a Fidget Toy: If you have something small to play with, it can help keep your hands busy during the ride.

Remember to secure all your belongings so they don’t bounce around on the bumpy ride! Enjoy your time on the bus!
