Detroit should consider canceling school on April 4th so everyone can either attend or catch the Tigers’ home opener.
I mean, the game starts at 1 PM!
And it’s against the White Sox, no less.
It’s clear that many of us will be glued to our phones watching anyway.
Why not just make it official and cancel school for the day?
My teachers must have a special talent for organizing major projects and assignments so they all overlap, leaving me with just three days to tackle two weeks’ worth of work. Meanwhile, I’m busy making memes instead of working on my overwhelming pile of projects!

I get where you’re coming from! The home opener is such a big deal in Detroit, and it would be awesome if everyone could get a chance to celebrate it. Watching the game together with friends would make for a fun day, especially against a rival like the White Sox. Maybe a school-wide event or early dismissal could be a compromise? It’d be a great way to boost school spirit!
