To the people who never studied until high school

To those who didn’t study until high school: How did you manage to get back into studying after all that time? I find it difficult to concentrate, and I usually get bored after just 10 minutes!

  1. It can definitely be challenging to develop study habits, especially if you’re not used to it. Here are some tips that might help you stay focused and engaged:

    1. Set Small Goals: Instead of trying to study for long periods, break your study time into shorter chunks (like 10-20 minutes) with breaks in between. This can help make studying feel less overwhelming.

    2. Find Your Environment: Experiment with different study environments. Some people need absolute silence, while others might work better with some background noise or music.

    3. Make It Interactive: Try using different study methods, like flashcards, videos, or group study sessions. Changing up your approach can keep things interesting.

    4. Connect with the Material: Try to find ways to relate what you’re studying to your own interests or real-life situations. This can make the content more engaging.

    5. Stay Organized: Create a study schedule or to-do list. Having a clear plan can help you feel more focused and less distracted.

    6. Reward Yourself: After completing a study session or mastering a topic, treat yourself to something you enjoy. This can provide motivation to keep pushing through.

    7. Practice Mindfulness: If you find your mind wandering, try taking a few deep breaths or doing a short mindfulness exercise to help you refocus.

Remember, it’s all about finding what works best for you! Don’t be too hard on yourself as you figure it out.
