My daughter, 17 and in high school, is to receive about $70k in an inheritance upon turning 18. We are in Tennessee. We have been low income and will likely stay that way. What affects on my daughter’s chance to use financial aid or scholarships, does the inheritance have? Is there a way to mitigate it’s affect?
