In today’s educational landscape, many students find themselves feeling disconnected and overwhelmed. As a high school junior, I often grapple with the feeling that my schooling isn’t truly contributing to my knowledge or personal growth. It seems like I listen to my teachers’ lessons, but the information never truly sinks in, leaving me drained and frustrated.
Balancing Academic responsibilities, national exams, and part-time work has become an exhausting juggling act. Despite dedicating significant time to studying and working tirelessly to afford the things I enjoy, I feel like my life revolves solely around survival—studying, working, and managing endless deadlines. This relentless routine makes me feel as if I am functioning like a robot, with little room for leisure or personal fulfillment.
Sometimes, the weight of these pressures leads me to dark thoughts, like wishing for an unexpected break such as a serious accident, just to escape the constant stress. Even attempts to organize my time with calendars and schedules haven’t alleviated my fatigue—when I finally get free moments, I am too exhausted and unmotivated to do anything meaningful, only wanting to sleep.
I worry about my future prospects, questioning whether I will find a job that provides a sense of fulfillment and stability. I don’t feel confident in my academic abilities compared to my peers, which adds to my anxiety about the path ahead.
