A girl is always asking for my presence like literally [I’m not threatened in any way]

Understanding Unexpected Attention: When a Classmate Shows Interest

Recently, I’ve noticed an intriguing change in how one of my classmates interacts with me. She’s been consistently seeking my company, almost as if she’s eager to spend time together—something I initially found quite perplexing, especially since I don’t perceive any threat or rivalry.

A few months back, this girl—who also ranks among the top students in our class—began showing genuine interest in my presence. Naturally, I started to wonder what might be motivating this shift in her behavior.

To provide some context, she’s genuinely a wonderful person: attractive, attentive to the small gestures I do, and overall, someone who exudes kindness and appreciation. She possesses qualities that many would admire, making her quite special.

As for me, I’d describe myself as fairly average—average grades, not the most striking appearance, and generally just going through the motions in school, often engaging in lighthearted activities rather than serious study.

Now that summer vacation has begun here in the Philippines, I find myself pondering whether this newfound attention will continue. It’s an interesting situation, and I’m curious to see how things unfold.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Encountering unexpected interest from someone you didn’t expect? Would love to hear your thoughts!
