Overcoming Academic Challenges: Preparing for Upcoming Exams Under Time Pressure
As August approaches, I find myself anxious about my upcoming exams and unsure if I can meet my academic goals. This is my second attempt at my second year in college. Unfortunately, due to health and mental health issues, I was unable to attend classes throughout the year. Fortunately, my college, which is located outside my hometown, offered me an opportunity to progress through a summer course by achieving a higher GPA—specifically, I need to increase my current GPA of 1.552 to at least 1.67 to pass.
Currently, I have nine credit hours remaining, selected from subjects primarily in mathematics and computer science. With approximately 60 days left to prepare, I am feeling overwhelmed because I lack familiarity with these subjects and, frankly, I don’t have a solid study routine. This situation seems daunting, and I question whether it’s even feasible to succeed with such a limited timeframe.
I’m seeking advice from those with experience in rapid exam preparation: How many subjects should I focus my efforts on? Is it possible to significantly improve my grades within this period? Most importantly, do you think I can accomplish this goal? Your insights and strategies would be greatly appreciated as I navigate this challenging chapter.
