Overcoming Educational Obstacles: Navigating Graduation Barriers and Employment Challenges

For many students, the path to graduation can sometimes be fraught with unexpected hurdles. Recently, I found myself in a situation where just a single credit remains to complete my degree—yet, unanticipated complications are delaying my graduation.

During my freshman year, health issues required repeated hospital stays, leading me to pursue a portion of my coursework remotely. Unfortunately, errors in my academic transcript caused setbacks, requiring me to retake courses and work diligently over the summer to rectify these issues. Thanks to these efforts, I am now in my final year, with only one credit left to earn.

However, the challenges don’t stop there. As I prepare to transition into my senior year, I need to support myself and my family financially. My previous work leave program was discontinued this year, making it necessary for me to find employment. The school has insisted on enrolling me in additional classes—some I have already completed or do not need—regardless of whether I choose virtual or in-person attendance. This rigidity complicates my plans to work and graduate efficiently.

My goal is to find a viable workaround that allows me to fulfill my remaining academic requirements without redundancy and to secure a job that accommodates my circumstances. If you have experience navigating similar issues—be it dealing with transcript errors, balancing work and education, or negotiating administrative policies—I would appreciate your insights and advice on how to approach this situation effectively.

Ultimately, my priority is to graduate on time and support my loved ones without unnecessary academic burdens. Thank you for your guidance and understanding.
