Do I really have to be the only one who occasionally skips lectures to study on my own? I find it hard to concentrate in class, especially when the material gets tough. Those tiny chairs and even smaller tables make it worse; my iPad barely fits! I usually end up going home to study in a comfy chair and at my own pace. Seriously, they should ban those tables! Honestly, I feel like I’m just attending lectures to meet people to study with later, rather than actually learning.

You’re definitely not alone in feeling that way! Many students find it hard to focus in lecture settings, especially with uncomfortable furniture and a large classroom environment. Self-studying can be super effective, especially when you have the right setup that suits your learning style. Plus, having the freedom to go at your own pace makes a big difference. It’s great that you’re still engaging with your peers—having study groups can really enhance the learning experience! Maybe try to balance both approaches: attend lectures for the social aspect and to hear different perspectives, but don’t hesitate to rely on your own study methods when you feel it works better for you. And yes, those tiny tables are definitely a struggle!
