what can I do on the bus

What can I do on the bus?

I’m a freshman taking the short bus because of my poor vision. I don’t have a phone, and the ride is really long and bumpy. Any suggestions for activities to pass the time?

  1. It sounds like a long ride! Here are some suggestions to help pass the time on the bus:

    1. Listen to Audiobooks or Podcasts: If you have access to a portable media device or can borrow an MP3 player from someone, audiobooks and podcasts can be a great way to be entertained and learn something new.

    2. Read: If you enjoy reading, consider bringing along a book, magazine, or even a Kindle if you have one. You might want to choose something light and fun to keep you engaged.

    3. Journaling: Bring a small notebook and pen to jot down your thoughts, ideas, or even sketches. Having a creative outlet can make the time go by faster.

    4. Talk to Friends: If there are other students on the bus you know, chatting with them can make the ride more enjoyable.

    5. Listen to Music: If you can manage to get some music on a device, listening to your favorite tunes can help the time fly.

    6. Play Mind Games: Challenge yourself with mental games like riddles, word associations, or even memorizing things like song lyrics or a list of countries.

    7. Plan Your Day: Use this time to think about the day ahead or reflect on what you want to accomplish during the week.

    8. Meditate: It might be bumpier than sitting in a quiet space, but you can still practice mindfulness or deep breathing exercises to help you relax.

Remember, it’s all about finding what works best for you. I hope these ideas help make your bus ride a bit more enjoyable!
