would i get suspended?

Am I at risk of getting suspended? There’s this guy at my school who used to have a crush on me, and it’s become a bit unsettling. Last year, after I told him I wasn’t interested in being his girlfriend, he treated me poorly—being racist, sexist, and just downright awful. I often catch him staring at me, which makes me really uncomfortable, and he’s constantly trying to get close or touch me.

If I finally reach my breaking point and punch him, would I face suspension? I know trouble and a major talking-to are likely, but what are the chances of it going on my permanent record?

Also, I realize this might sound like a personal issue, but he’s spreading rumors about me claiming I was bullied by him and his friends when I actually rejected both of them.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re going through this. It sounds very stressful and uncomfortable. In regards to your question, yes, punching someone could definitely lead to suspension or other disciplinary actions, as schools often have strict policies about fighting. It’s understandable to feel frustrated, but acting out physically might not be the best solution.

Instead, consider talking to a trusted adult, like a teacher or school counselor, about what you’re experiencing. They can help you figure out how to address the situation and ensure you feel safe at school. It’s important to document everything—like the rumors and his behavior— so you have a record to share when you speak to someone about it. You deserve to feel safe and respected, and there are people who can help you with that.
