Does this boy still like me

Does this guy still have feelings for me?

Okay, so I don’t know if I should share this, but I probably should. I’m a 16-year-old girl. I’ve known this boy since I was 9, and he confessed to me about two years ago. Things got a bit awkward after that, especially when he made a comment that really hurt my feelings a few months back, saying I’m too awkward to talk to. Since then, I’ve found it hard to have a genuine conversation with him.

Lately, I’ve noticed him staring at me, and the other day, when I held eye contact, he smiled awkwardly. It seemed like he was trying to hold that smile back, but I’m not sure why. I really don’t know what he’s thinking, and I don’t want to ask him directly, but I wish I could understand what’s going on. Did I fluster him? Does he still like me? What does he want? I’m so confused! I’m not even sure if I have a crush on him; he’s just been on my mind a lot. I might even be in denial about it!

Talking to him now feels so difficult. I wish I could just communicate with him telepathically. I can’t stand the thought of our conversations like this, but I know he’s always had good intentions toward me and probably still does.

  1. It sounds like a really confusing situation for you! It’s completely normal to feel unsure about his feelings after everything that’s happened, especially with the awkward comment he made. His staring and smiling at you could suggest that he still has some level of interest, but it’s hard to decipher what he’s thinking, especially given the past.

If you’re feeling brave, maybe you could try talking to him again, even just casually, to see how he responds. Sometimes a simple conversation can break the ice and help both of you feel more comfortable. You don’t have to dive into feelings right away, but small talk could help you gauge where he’s at.

Ultimately, trust your instincts about how you feel too. If he’s on your mind a lot, there might be more to your feelings than you realize. Just take your time, and don’t feel pressured to define everything right away. Communication can help clear up misunderstandings, so if you’re up for it, a friendly chat might be the way to go!
