School is too much.

School has become overwhelming for me. As a freshman in high school, I’ve reached a breaking point where the experience feels unbearable. I often find myself dealing with stomachaches and headaches during the day, and I can’t get a good night’s sleep because of the stress. Mornings are particularly tough; I wake up on the verge of tears. I’ve been advised to just push through it, but that approach isn’t working for me anymore.

As someone on the autism spectrum, I’ve always struggled with social interactions and thrive in a quieter environment. My anxiety flares up at the thought of presenting or even being called on in class, to the point where I feel physically ill. To add to that, I find myself bored and often waiting for my classmates to catch up, which leads to them frequently asking for my help.

I really can’t handle another day in that school. I’m at a loss for what to do next.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear that you’re feeling this way. It sounds incredibly tough, and it’s completely valid to feel overwhelmed. Have you considered reaching out to someone who can help you, like a teacher, school counselor, or a trusted adult? They might be able to offer support or look into accommodations that could make your experience a little easier.

Additionally, there could be ways to create a quieter space for yourself or manage your anxiety during the school day. Finding a supportive friend or talking to someone who understands what you’re going through can also make a big difference.

Remember, it’s important to prioritize your mental health. You’re not alone in feeling this way, and there are people and resources out there that can help you navigate this. Take things one step at a time, and don’t hesitate to ask for help when you need it.
