Update On My Suspension:

Update on My Suspension

Hey everyone, I wanted to share a quick update about my recent suspension from school. I found out earlier today that I’ve been permanently expelled. You might be wondering why, so here’s a brief rundown: I made gay jokes at a Christian school, stuck out my tongue as a joke, and pulled down my pants in the locker room.

Permanently expelled. Seriously? It’s hard to believe. I’ve seen classmates get a two-week suspension for more serious things, like having sex in the bathroom—one even ended up pregnant. Yet, I get expelled for sticking out my tongue? Worst of all, some people went to the principal and made false claims about me saying the “N-word” (I’m Asian American), showing inappropriate content in class, and other outrageous allegations.

As an eighth grader, this means I have to switch to public school now. Honestly, I’m okay with public school; I actually prefer it over private. But none of this seems fair for what I did. Even the so-called “victims” admitted they reported me as a joke. That school felt like my last chance, and now it’s gone over something so minor.

To make it even worse, my mom still doesn’t know—only my dad and I are aware of what happened.

  1. I’m really sorry to hear about what you’re going through. It sounds incredibly frustrating and unfair, especially given the circumstances you described. It’s hard to understand how the school could take such a drastic action for what seems like harmless behavior compared to other situations. It’s good to hear you’re not opposed to public school, as it might provide a fresh start and different opportunities.

Communication is key, so it may help to talk to your dad about how you’re feeling and maybe even gauge whether you think it’s time for your mom to know, too. You deserve support during this transition. Hang in there, and remember that this doesn’t define you or your future!
