Why do honor roll students consider C’s a failing grade? I’ve received my fair share of C’s, starting with my very first one in science back in middle school. It’s really interesting how perspectives on grades can vary so much! For some honor roll students, maintaining high grades can feel like the standard, so anything below a B might seem like a disappointment or even a failure. It could also be about the pressure they feel from themselves or their peers to keep up those high expectations.
Getting a C, especially after doing well before, can be frustrating, but it’s important to remember that grades don’t define your value or intelligence. Every subject has its challenges, and it’s totally okay to have ups and downs.
