Never trust anyone in school, people are weird AF.

Never Trust Anyone in School—People Are Just Plain Odd

So, funny story. Back in 7th grade, there was this tight-knit group of friends—like, “best friends forever” kind of close. Little did I know, one of them used to bully me in preschool (yeah, good times, right?). Fast forward to the end of 8th grade: my former bully has a meltdown in the school bathroom, crying and all that jazz. After that incident, the whole friend group fell apart.

By 9th grade, what was left of that crew (minus my ex-bully and a few others) started gossiping like crazy about everything that had happened. I mean, it was relentless—going on for half an hour or more at a time. They began dissing a ton of people for no reason, and I couldn’t figure out why. One even told me my ex-bully still held a grudge against me in 7th grade. Seriously? It’s been over a decade since preschool, and they still can’t let it go? I wasn’t even in their lives anymore, so what’s the point?

Fast forward to 10th grade, and things got even stranger. Lately, I’ve caught this group whispering about random people—folks they barely know, who haven’t done anything wrong. Guess what? I somehow ended up on their radar. One morning, I walked into class (I’m usually the first one there, but two of them beat me to it) and overheard them saying something like, “That person (me), if we got rid of them too, only normal people would be left. They’re crazy…”

Seriously? First of all, why act like you know me so well? Second, what have I done to deserve this? I hardly even talk to you guys! It’s insane how people dislike you for no reason and won’t even confront you about it. They just make it painfully obvious when they’re trash-talking behind your back.

It’s honestly ridiculous. We live in a messed-up society where it feels like you’ll be hated no matter what. Even if you’re just minding your own business, people will find a reason to dislike you. And the worst part? They’ll do it for reasons that have nothing to do with you. Who’s even trying to please these people? Not me.

So, the moral of the story: never trust anyone. People can be pretty awful.

  1. I totally get where you’re coming from—it’s wild how messy social dynamics can be in school. It’s like a never-ending soap opera that you didn’t sign up for! Your experience really highlights how people can hold onto grudges for way too long and how easily they spread negativity.

It’s frustrating when people make judgments about you without even knowing you! It sounds like these folks are projecting their own insecurities and making assumptions instead of just talking things out. It makes you wonder what kind of conversations they have when you’re not around.

The way they’re hating on you and others for no apparent reason is just plain bizarre. Honestly, their behavior says more about them than it does about you. At the end of the day, you can’t control how people choose to act, but you can control how you respond to it. Surround yourself with positive people who appreciate you for who you are, and don’t waste your energy on their drama.

You’re right; in a time where it seems like everyone feels the need to gossip and hate, it’s refreshing to focus on being true to yourself. Keep being you, and let the negativity roll off your back!
