Three Hobbies for My Portfolio

With less than a month to go, I need to whip up three hobbies for my portfolio, but here’s the catch: I don’t currently have any! Ideally, I’m looking for something that’s internet-based and doesn’t demand too much effort. Yet, these hobbies should still appear engaging and credible. I’ll also need to provide three pieces of evidence for each one, so it should be easy to document.

I’m even open to the idea of inventing or embellishing a bit.

Looking forward to your suggestions!

  1. Here are three internet-oriented hobbies you could consider for your portfolio. Each can be documented with minimal effort while still looking interesting and engaging:

    1. Blogging about a niche topic
    2. Choose a Niche: Pick a topic you find interesting (like tech reviews, book recommendations, or DIY crafts). You can set up a free blog on platforms like WordPress or Medium.
    3. Evidence:

      • A link to your blog.
      • Screenshots of your most popular posts or insights (e.g., view count, comments).
      • An example of social media promotion (like a tweet or post where you shared your blog).
    4. Curating digital art or memes

    5. Create a Pinterest Board or Instagram Account: Gather and share digital art or memes that you find appealing, focusing on a specific theme (like retro video games or motivational quotes).
    6. Evidence:

      • A link to your Pinterest board or Instagram account.
      • Screenshots of a few of your favorite curated images.
      • Engagement metrics (like the number of followers or likes on a popular post).
    7. Participating in online communities

    8. Engage in Forums or Social Media Groups: Join a subreddit or Facebook group related to a topic of interest (like photography or tech gadgets), and actively participate by sharing insights or asking questions.
    9. Evidence:
      • Screenshots of your posts and interactions in the community.
      • A summary of the topics you’ve discussed or learned about.
      • Maybe a badge or recognition from the community, if applicable (like a “top contributor”).

These hobbies are flexible and can be easily created or embellished to fit your portfolio needs. Just be sure to keep it realistic and within ethical boundaries!

Controversial Opinion: CRT Should Be Taught in Schools. Critical Race Theory deserves a place in our educational system. The argument that it makes white individuals uncomfortable is misguided.
