How would I ask this to someone?

How can I ask this without sounding awkward?

I recently reconnected with a friend from elementary school, and now we’re both juniors in high school. We started chatting yesterday, and I learned that she’s still in touch with some other friends from back then, but I haven’t had contact with them since we were really young (we don’t have social media connections, and our parents didn’t know each other).

I’d love to reach out to them, but I’m not sure how to ask her for their contact information or if she could see if they’re interested in talking to me. I don’t want to come off as rude or intrusive. Any suggestions? 😭😭😭

  1. It’s great that you’ve reconnected with your friend! Here’s a way you could phrase your request to keep it friendly and polite:

“Hey [Friend’s Name]! It’s so nice to catch up with you. I’ve been thinking about some of our old friends from elementary school, and I’d love to reconnect with them. If you’re comfortable, would you mind sharing their contact information or asking them if they’d like to chat with me? I totally understand if that’s not possible, but I’d appreciate any help you can give. Thanks so much!”

This way, you show appreciation for her help and give her an easy out if she feels uncomfortable sharing the information. Good luck!
