My Class Drama

Class Drama

Okay, so I need to vent about the ongoing drama in my class. There are three kids—let’s call them L, E, and E2—who seem to argue every single day over the tiniest issues. Their constant bickering has even made my girlfriend, M, upset. Then there’s the WhatsApp group chat that our teachers had to address because it turned into a platform for bullying and inappropriate language. L, in particular, has become the most disliked person in our class for making awkward comments that upset others, leaving some in tears and being a really bad friend to E, S, Y, E2, and M.

As for the teachers, last week was supposed to be Mental Health Week, but they barely did anything meaningful. While other schools held activities like dressing up to express emotions, our school only managed a couple of brief lessons and a silly slideshow featuring characters from the movies “Inside Out” and “Inside Out 2.” They really struggle to handle students’ emotions; last year when I was bullied, it was hard for me to reach out to them. When my mom finally informed the school, their solution was to suggest I ask for water whenever I wasn’t feeling okay—something that definitely didn’t help. This school year, I wrote “I’m sad 🙁 I want to die” and all my teacher did was express concern and promise not to tell my mom. But they did tell her, discussing it behind my back without my consent.

Lastly, I’ve got to mention my friend S2, who jokingly said she was cooking some people (she definitely wasn’t serious). I asked who she meant, and she listed L, E, E2, and S3, explaining she thought S3 was a “pick me.” Just to clarify, S2, I don’t dislike you at all—you’re great! And then there are the “ships” happening in our class—like K and the new kid A, L2 and S2, and S3 and K—these often lead to arguments and falling outs.

  1. It sounds like you’re dealing with a really tough situation in your class, and I’m sorry to hear that it’s affecting you and your friends. It’s frustrating when drama and bullying create such a negative environment, especially when it’s impacting your girlfriend M and your own mental health.

It’s especially disappointing that you feel the teachers haven’t been effective in supporting you during these tough times. Mental health is so important, and it seems like your school could do a lot more to foster a supportive atmosphere. I hope that by sharing your feelings, you can start finding more ways to advocate for yourself and your classmates, and encourage more open communication with the teachers. Maybe you could suggest having more activities or discussions around mental health as a class?

And regarding the friendships and shipping drama, it can really complicate things when relationships are mixed up like that. It’s great that you’re speaking up for your friends, though; making sure everyone feels respected and included is key. Remember to focus on the people who lift you up and spend time with those who make you feel good. You deserve to feel supported and valued. Stay strong, and keep looking out for each other!
