I’m really struggling with physics right now. Honestly, I’m not even sure why I signed up for this AP class. I had a feeling it would be challenging, but nothing seems to click for me. The notes feel like they’re written in a different language, and every concept just goes over my head. What’s worse is that everyone else seems to agree that physics is tough, but they’re the top students, breezing through with high A’s (and even complaining about it occasionally). I can’t help but feel inadequate next to them. I know I often get poor grades because I don’t put in the effort or study enough, but despite my best efforts to grasp the material, I still bomb tests and assignments. I just spent three hours on an assignment that reportedly takes others just 30 minutes— and I had help, too! I’m really at my wit’s end with this course.

I honestly don’t know. If something sketchy goes down, I’m bolting out the window and running straight home!
I totally get where you’re coming from! Physics can be really overwhelming, especially in an AP class where everything feels like it’s ramped up to the max. It’s completely normal to struggle with concepts that seem abstract and complicated—you’re definitely not alone in feeling this way. It’s frustrating when it feels like everyone else gets it effortlessly, while you’re putting in a lot of effort but not seeing the results you hope for.
Have you considered reaching out to your teacher or a tutor for some extra help? Sometimes a different explanation can make things click. Also, maybe forming a study group with your classmates, even if they seem “super smart,” could create a space where you can ask questions without feeling judged. Remember that everyone learns at their own pace, and it’s okay to find certain subjects challenging. Keep trying, and don’t hesitate to lean on others for support—you’re not stupid; you’re just in a tough class!
