My girlfriend had to toss her Starbucks today because of a substitute teacher, and now I’m frustrated over the money I spent.
Every morning, I get her her favorite Starbucks order. We love sipping our drinks and taking selfies on our way to school. Normally, our teacher is cool about drinks in class, but today we had a substitute who was a real stickler.
He made her take her drink to the back of the classroom and dump it out. So, not wanting her to go without, I had to DoorDash her another drink. What should have been an $8 purchase ended up costing me $18, and I felt like I was on a secret mission trying to get it delivered since DoorDash isn’t allowed at school.
After school, I approached the substitute to talk about getting my $20 back that he effectively owes me. Instead of understanding where I was coming from, he acted like I was the one in the wrong for wanting compensation. It’s just a frustrating situation all around!
