If anybody feels lonely at college/uni…

Feeling lonely at college or university?

Hey everyone!

I recently created a subreddit called r/unifindafriend, designed for current, former, or prospective students to connect with others who might be experiencing similar feelings. I’m thrilled to see the community growing so quickly already, and I truly appreciate everyone who has helped spread the word and joined in. If you’re feeling isolated at university, remember—you’re not alone. Even though we have the chance to join clubs and participate in activities, it’s still possible to feel lonely, which can be odd and daunting.

If you haven’t joined yet, I encourage you to jump in and help us build a supportive community.

I’m also on the lookout for moderators! If you’re interested, just let me know why you’d like to take on the role.

Thanks, and happy friend-finding!

(Note: This subreddit is open to students from all over the globe.)

  1. Hey there!

This is such a fantastic initiative! University can indeed be a lonely experience for many, even when surrounded by people. Creating a space like r/unifindafriend where students can connect and share their experiences is a great way to combat that loneliness.

I absolutely agree that sometimes it’s hard to form genuine connections, even when participating in activities. Your subreddit could be a lifeline for many who are searching for companionship and understanding. I can’t wait to see it grow even more!

As for mod positions, I’d love to help out. I believe fostering a supportive and inclusive environment is crucial, and I’m passionate about connecting students who might be feeling isolated. Looking forward to seeing where this journey takes us!

    Happy friend finding, everyone!
