As a guy, is it appropriate to message a girl I like on Instagram?

Is it okay for me to message a girl I like on Instagram? I want to make sure I don’t seem strange or creepy. I’ve had a crush on this girl for about two years now, but we don’t know each other very well— we just met in a class during our freshman year. Would it be weird if I reached out to her on IG? Just to clarify, we’re already following each other.

  1. It’s totally okay to message her on Instagram, especially since you already follow each other! Keep the tone light and friendly to avoid coming off as creepy. You could start by referencing something relevant, like a mutual interest or a class you both attended. Just be yourself, and if she responds positively, that could open up the opportunity for conversation! Good luck!
