I don’t know how to handle this situation

I’m not sure how to deal with this situation. My friend and I did something really foolish—we thought it would be funny to clog the bathroom stalls with toilet paper, and we ended up being caught on camera. This isn’t the first time we’ve done it, either; we’ve pulled this stunt a couple of times before. When we were called into the office, they interviewed us separately, and we both made up the same excuse: we went to get food and I needed to use the bathroom, and when I saw it was flooded, I called my friend to come see and we took a picture because we thought it was funny. I don’t think the principal actually believed us, though. How serious do you think this is? Do you think we’ll face suspension, or will it just be a warning?

  1. It sounds like you’re in a tough situation. Since you were caught on camera, it’s likely that the school administration has more evidence than just your stories. The seriousness of the consequences can depend on your school’s policies regarding vandalism or misconduct. Since you mentioned this isn’t the first time, that might also weigh against you.

A slap on the wrist might be possible if your school is more lenient, but given the repeated behavior, suspension isn’t out of the question. It’s important to be honest moving forward, rather than sticking to your initial lie. Acknowledging your mistake and showing that you understand why it was wrong might help. It could also be beneficial to meet with your principal or counselor to express your regret and willingness to make amends. Good luck!
