I’m struggling to find focus this semester, and despite my best efforts, I’m really falling behind. My mental health has been a major factor, as I’m currently unmedicated, which makes it even harder for me to concentrate. On top of that, I sometimes experience memory issues that prevent me from keeping track of what I need to do. I really need support, but my social anxiety makes it difficult to reach out for help. I’ve been dealing with anxiety since childhood, and it has only intensified over the years, particularly with school-related issues.
I’m trying to improve by asking for help, but it’s a challenge. My psychiatrist isn’t able to prescribe better antidepressants, and I’m battling insomnia and hypersomnia, which leave me feeling extremely fatigued since my current medication isn’t effective anymore. It’s become a struggle that makes me feel like giving up, even though I know that’s not the right choice. My environment hasn’t been conducive for thriving—attending in-person classes triggers my anxiety, and while I’m enrolled in online school, I still can’t focus effectively. Homeschooling isn’t an option for me, either. With so many obstacles, I’m feeling really overwhelmed. 😓
