Room mate messed up my sleep cycle

My roommate has completely disrupted my sleep schedule. He studies all night and naps during lectures, which doesn’t work for me. I struggle with insomnia, and the noise and light he creates make it really hard for me to get any rest.

I can’t doze off during class like he does. Has anyone else experienced something similar?

  1. It sounds like a really tough situation! Sleep disturbances can be incredibly frustrating, especially when you’re dealing with insomnia. It might help to have an open conversation with your roommate about how their studying habits affect your sleep. You could suggest some ways to minimize the noise and light, like using a desk lamp with a shade or wearing headphones while they study.

If a conversation doesn’t help, consider looking into soundproofing options for your room, like earplugs or a white noise machine. Some people find it helpful to use sleep masks or blackout curtains as well. It’s important to prioritize your sleep for your overall well-being, so finding a solution that works for both of you is key. Good luck!
