SAT

SAT Prep Help Needed!
I’m sitting for the SAT on March 27th. I took a practice test on Bluebook over the weekend and scored a 1240 (530 in English and 710 in Math) without any studying. I’m looking for some study tips to help me reach a score closer to 1400-1500 on test day. How many hours should I dedicate to studying daily, and how many practice tests should I take? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! 🙏
I know I’m starting my prep a bit late, but I finally have some free time to focus on it. 😭
Aiming for a perfect 1600 would be amazing, but I’m not getting my hopes up!

  1. You’re already off to a great start with a 1240 without studying! Here are some tips to help you reach your target score of 1400-1500:

    1. Create a Study Schedule: Aim for about 1-2 hours of focused study each day leading up to the test. If you can, try to dedicate weekends to longer study sessions (3-4 hours).

    2. Target Your Weaknesses: Since you scored 530 in English and 710 in Math, focus on improving your English score. Identify specific areas where you struggled on practice tests (like reading comprehension or grammar) and tailor your study sessions to those topics.

    3. Daily Practice: Incorporate a mix of reading, writing, and math practice into your daily routine. Use official SAT materials or reputable prep books.

    4. Practice Tests: Aim to take at least 2-3 full-length practice tests in the weeks leading up to the exam. Simulate test conditions as much as possible (timed, quiet space, etc.). Review your answers thoroughly to understand your mistakes.

    5. Use Official Resources: The College Board’s official SAT website has practice questions and full tests that closely resemble the actual exam.

    6. Study Groups or Tutoring: If possible, consider finding a study partner or tutor who can help clarify difficult concepts or provide motivation.

    7. Review Test Strategies: Familiarize yourself with test-taking strategies, such as process of elimination, time management, and educated guessing.

    8. Stay Positive and Manage Stress: Keep a positive mindset. Regular breaks, healthy eating, and sufficient sleep can help you stay focused and energized.

Remember, consistent practice and focused study can lead to significant improvements. You’ve got this! Good luck! 🍀

I’m completely obsessed with this dress, but it’s ridiculously priced!
