New Rule: No politics (at all, this applies to everything)

New Rule: No Politics Allowed (This Applies to Everything)

Hello everyone!

We have seen too much hate speech coming from all sides of the political spectrum, and this is simply unacceptable. Many of the members here are young, and we want to foster a safe and respectful environment.

We cannot allow a space filled with hostility where healthy conversations are impossible. I’ve had to remove too many comments that violated our Terms of Service and targeted people simply because their views differ from others.

Remember, even if you believe someone’s opinion is misguided, it’s still just that—an opinion. Attacking someone for their beliefs is not the answer. If you genuinely want to change someone’s mind, approach the discussion with respect and openness. Engage in a constructive conversation instead of resorting to personal attacks, as this only furthers alienation and promotes a cycle of blame.

Political discussions are now banned until we can create a more respectful community. This is a school subreddit, and our focus should be on learning rather than engaging in divisive debates.

I regret having to restrict open discussions, but we’ve shown that we can’t have these conversations without crossing the line into hate speech. Let’s work together to rebuild an environment where everyone feels safe to share their thoughts. Thank you!

  1. I completely understand where you’re coming from! Creating a safe and respectful environment for everyone is crucial, especially in a space intended for learning and growth. It’s disappointing that political discussions have led to hostility rather than constructive dialogue.

By putting this new rule in place, you’re prioritizing a positive community atmosphere, which is essential for fostering healthy conversations among young people. I hope this encourages everyone to focus on mutual respect and understanding, rather than divisive rhetoric. Thank you for taking a stand and guiding the community toward a more welcoming and inclusive space!
