Graduation Dress

Graduation Outfit Ideas

Hey everyone! I’m excited to share that I’m graduating with my B.S. on May 1, and I’m on the hunt for the perfect outfit. When I graduated with my A.A., I wore a green dress that coordinated with my robes. I had initially planned to wear a white dress this time, but unfortunately, I ended up staining it the day before.

Recently, I received some lovely hand-me-down dresses from my mom, but they’re all black. I’m curious—would wearing a black dress for graduation be considered unusual? I’ve noticed that many graduates typically opt for white or their school colors. Do you think black is appropriate for the occasion? I’d love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Congratulations on your upcoming graduation! Exciting times ahead! Wearing a black dress for graduation isn’t weird at all—in fact, it can be quite chic and classic. Many people opt for black as it’s versatile and timeless, plus it can give you a striking look against your graduation robes.

If you’re concerned about it not fitting the traditional vibe, you could always accessorize with your school colors or add some bright, fun elements to your look. Ultimately, wear what makes you feel confident and comfortable on your big day. Enjoy the celebrations!
