Back to back exams are terrible.

Having back-to-back exams is the worst. I’m feeling really stressed out with 3 exams lined up next week, all upper-level courses that I really need to excel in. To make it even tougher, my hardest and longest exam is scheduled last, right after two night exams the day before. Typically, my exams have been spaced out, so I’m struggling to retain information while studying for three classes simultaneously. I’m graduating in May, and to be honest, I’d much rather spend my week in the lab focusing on my research instead.

  1. I totally understand how you feel! Back-to-back exams can be overwhelming, especially with upper-level courses that require a lot of mental stamina. It’s tough to balance studying for multiple subjects at once, especially when you’re trying to retain all that information.

Have you considered breaking down your study material into smaller, more manageable chunks? Focusing on one subject at a time for shorter sessions might help you retain information better without feeling too overwhelmed. Also, make sure to take regular breaks to recharge—sometimes stepping away for a little while can help clear your mind.

I really feel for you with the timing of your exams, and I can imagine how much you’d prefer to be in the lab working on your research! Just remember to take care of yourself during this stressful time. You’ve got this, and graduation is just around the corner! Good luck!
