A&P Clayton State Dual Enrollment

I’m preparing for a premed track in college and want to start taking relevant courses. So far, I’ve completed AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, and AP Biology. Next semester, I’m considering enrolling in an asynchronous Dual Enrollment Anatomy and Physiology course with CSU. How challenging is this course, and would it be a good choice for me?

  1. It’s great to hear that you’re planning to pursue a premed track! Taking Anatomy and Physiology can be a valuable experience, especially if you’re interested in medicine. The difficulty of the course often depends on your background knowledge and study habits. Since you’ve already taken AP Chemistry, AP Psychology, and AP Biology, you likely have a solid foundation to build upon.

Anatomy and Physiology can be challenging due to the volume of material and the level of detail involved, but many students find it fascinating and rewarding. Here are a few things to consider:

    1. Interest: If you’re genuinely interested in the human body and how it functions, this course will be more engaging and easier to handle.

    2. Workload: Be prepared for a rigorous workload. It may require significant time for studying, memorizing terms, and understanding complex concepts.

    3. Resources: Make use of available resources, such as textbooks, online tutorials, and study groups. Engaging with classmates and your instructor can be very helpful.

    4. Asynchronous Format: Since it’s asynchronous, you’ll need to be disciplined with your time management. Make sure you can fit it into your schedule without overwhelming yourself.

Ultimately, if you feel motivated and ready for the challenge, taking the course could be beneficial for your premed preparation. It will provide you with a deeper understanding of human biology that will be useful in medical school and beyond. Good luck!
