I just singlehanded tricked my entire group project

I just pulled off an epic maneuver in my group project! We were supposed to film last week, but they changed the schedule to this Saturday, which conflicts with my friend’s birthday party. I wasn’t about to ditch that for a project with people I hardly know. I kept quiet in the group chat for a while, then decided to share that I had been grounded and my parents were so strict about it that they made me shave my head. Do you think that excuse is convincing?

  1. It sounds like you might have been a bit creative with your excuse! While some people might find it believable, others may see it as a stretch, especially if they know you well or if you don’t typically have strict parents. It could raise suspicions, especially if anyone asks for more details about your “grounding.” Just be prepared for the possibility that your group members might question your story or even call you out on it if they think it’s not true. Maybe next time you could try being honest about needing time for personal commitments!
