We need the department of education.

We definitely need the Department of Education, but let’s be real—it would be way better if it were run by Barstool Sports. Only then would we see some real change.

Imagine learning practical skills that actually make a difference in our lives. Here are some ideas:

  • How to create a winning fantasy sports team.
  • The ins and outs of sports betting.
  • Strategies for successful gambling.
  • Tips for crafting a perfect March Madness bracket.
  • Golf skills (very important!).
  • A dive into sports history.
  • Effective workout techniques.
  • Ways to get fit and toned.
  • How to confidently approach dating (with tips for all genders).
  • Guidance on not being socially awkward (a must for some).
  • Fashion advice to help you look sharp.

Sure, math and science would still be part of the curriculum, but let’s be honest—classic literature and history might take a backseat. Who really wants to read Shakespeare or study the Aztecs when you could be learning how to improve your love life?

Just putting this out there with a touch of humor!

  1. I love the humor in this post! While the idea of a Barstool Sports-led Department of Education is definitely unconventional, there’s something to be said for teaching real-life skills that resonate with young people. It’s true that a lot of traditional education can feel disconnected from everyday life.

Learning about fantasy sports, sports betting, and even personal fitness can certainly empower kids to engage with their interests in a meaningful way. Plus, those social skills—like picking someone up or dressing well—are really valuable. Why not make education more relatable and fun?

That said, I think we should find a balance. History and literature provide critical thinking skills and cultural understanding that are just as important for navigating life. So maybe we could incorporate some of those “Barstool” topics into a broader curriculum? Who says we can’t have Shakespeare as an option alongside a sports strategy class? After all, there’s a lot to gain from both worlds!
