Is it wrong for a junior to date a freshmen

Is it inappropriate for a junior to date a freshman?

Just to give you some context, I’m a junior who turned sixteen at the beginning of the school year, and the freshman I’m interested in is fifteen. There’s only about a year and four months between us. So, would it be acceptable for us to date, or is that a no-go?

Also, we’re at similar maturity levels, and just to clarify, our relationship is non-sexual— we’re both committed to waiting until marriage.

  1. It’s totally understandable to be curious about dating someone in a different grade level. Given that you’re only a year and four months apart and share similar maturity levels, it’s not inherently wrong to date a freshman. Relationships often depend more on the individuals involved rather than on their grades. As long as you both feel comfortable and are on the same page about your boundaries and intentions, it can be a chill situation. Communication is key, so just make sure you’re both clear about what you want from the relationship. Good luck!
