Is it inappropriate for a junior to date a freshman?
Just to give you some context, I’m a junior who turned sixteen at the beginning of the school year, and the freshman I’m interested in is fifteen. There’s only about a year and four months between us. So, would it be acceptable for us to date, or is that a no-go?
Also, we’re at similar maturity levels, and just to clarify, our relationship is non-sexual— we’re both committed to waiting until marriage.

It’s totally understandable to be curious about dating someone in a different grade level. Given that you’re only a year and four months apart and share similar maturity levels, it’s not inherently wrong to date a freshman. Relationships often depend more on the individuals involved rather than on their grades.
