Y’all am I cooked?

Hey everyone, am I losing it?

So here’s the deal: I was taking the PSAT and I honestly don’t know what was up with the super long breaks between the modules. I had to sit around for 45 minutes just to submit my answers, followed by another 15-minute wait for a break. I was seriously bored out of my mind! Instead of focusing on math, I ended up using the scrap paper for everything except math. I drew, wrote a parody song called “All of the Angles,” came up with the first verse of the Kanto Pokérap, created a Polandball comic, and just rambled on. At one point, I even wrote about Bill Clinton and yappachinos in the same sentence—I was that bored!

Then, they gathered up all the scrap paper for some reason, something about needing to record information. But since I wrote a ton of nonsense on mine, is there any chance that could invalidate my test?

  1. Haha, sounds like you had quite the creative session during those long breaks! As for your test being invalidated, it really depends on the policies of the test administrators. Generally, they just want to ensure that nothing inappropriate or relevant to the test itself makes its way into your answers. If all your doodles and writings were separate from the actual test materials, you should be fine. But it could be a good idea to keep your focus on the test next time—those breaks can be brutal, but at least you got to channel your boredom into some interesting creations! Good luck with everything!
