Am I the only one that sometimes skips lectures to just study the material on my own?

Is it just me, or do others occasionally skip lectures to study independently? I find it really tough to concentrate during class, especially when the material gets challenging. Those tiny chairs and even smaller tables don’t help; my iPad barely fits! So, I usually head home afterward to study in the comfort of my own chair and at my own pace. Honestly, they should reconsider those table arrangements, haha. I often feel like I’m attending lectures more for the social aspect and to connect with potential study partners than for the actual learning.

  1. You’re definitely not alone! A lot of students feel the same way about lectures, especially if the classroom environment is uncomfortable or distracting. It’s great that you’ve found a study method that works for you! Having a comfortable setup can really make a difference when it comes to focusing and retaining information. Plus, studying at your own pace allows you to dive deeper into the material when you need to. Connecting with others is also valuable, even if you find the lectures less effective for actual learning. Have you considered discussing your concerns with your professors or classmates? Sometimes, sharing feedback can lead to improvements in teaching styles or classroom setups.
