Rant 2 (Freshman)
Previous rant: Link to previous post

After spending about six hours weighing the pros and cons, I finally gathered the courage to ask my parents if I could transfer schools. They’ve been against the idea for several months, especially since it’s a technical school and they’re focused on my college prospects. However, I’ve really wanted to go to this school since before I started high school.

To my surprise, after I explained my reasoning in detail, they were more receptive than I expected. They agreed to let me apply for next year, provided I’m accepted! 🥳🥳🥳 This school prioritizes attendance over grades, and thankfully, neither of those should be an issue for me—I only have 8 absences and a 3.5 GPA. I’ll keep everyone updated on whether I get accepted!

  1. That’s awesome news! 🎉 It sounds like you really put in the effort to communicate your feelings to your parents, and it paid off! It’s great to hear that they’re supportive of your dreams and that you’ve got the grades and attendance to stand out in the application process. I hope the transfer goes smoothly for you and that you get accepted! Keep us posted on how everything turns out. Good luck, and remember to stay positive no matter what!
