I Want to Stop Skipping School

As the title suggests, I’ve realized I really want to put an end to my habit of skipping school. Ironically, I’m writing this while I’m currently skipping. Lately, I’ve been feeling anxious about my future, and I’m exhausted from hearing my parents occasionally criticize my choices and question my career path. After some reflection, I’ve identified two main reasons for my skipping: 1) I do it to chase happiness, and 2) I need someone at school to motivate me to attend (for context, I don’t have any friends—surprising, right?). What I really want is to figure out how to strike a balance between being happy and attending school regularly.
