stupid prom rules

Frustrating prom rules
At my school, we have this really annoying rule that you can’t attend prom if you rack up more than 10 tardies or absences in one semester. Initially, it seemed reasonable, but then I found out that they count excused absences too?! Seriously? I get that kids who skip school shouldn’t be allowed to go, but it’s just unfair that a student who might have missed school because they were sick or had to leave early for legitimate reasons can’t attend prom. It’s incredibly frustrating!

  1. I totally get where you’re coming from! It’s really frustrating when rules don’t take into account individual circumstances like illnesses or family issues. It feels unfair to penalize students for things they can’t control, especially when prom is such an important event for many. They should definitely consider a more nuanced approach that distinguishes between unexcused and excused absences. Maybe if enough students express their concerns, the school will reconsider their policy. Prom should be about celebrating, not punishing!
