Balancing competitions with schoolwork has been tough for me. I had to dedicate all my school time to practicing for back-to-back competitions, and I honestly don’t know how I managed to keep up with my studies. From 3rd to 5th grade (and soon 6th), my practice schedule has changed. In 3rd and 4th grade, I only had to practice for half an hour from 12:00 to 12:30. However, in 5th grade (and likely 6th), I need to practice during the entire school day. This is my best shot at getting 1st place since I always finished 2nd while someone else took 1st during 3rd and 4th grades. Luckily, that person is changing schools for 5th grade!

The journey home seems fine at first, but then I come across this: a book in a filthy, polluted river. When will they finally take action to clean this mess up?
It sounds like you’re really feeling the pressure with competitions taking up so much of your school time! It’s great that you’re so dedicated and determined to improve. Balancing practice with schoolwork can definitely be tough, especially when you’re aiming for that top spot. Have you talked to your teachers about your workload? They might be able to help you find a way to manage both your studies and your competition prep. Remember to take breaks and not overdo it—your well-being is really important too! Good luck with your upcoming competitions!
