Teachers, I am PLEADING with you to turn the AC up.

Dear Teachers,

I’m really begging you to turn the AC up. If that’s not possible, could you please stop pumping in hot air? It doesn’t help us stay alert. Instead, it makes us mentally stew about the heat while tuning out whatever you’re explaining about the preterite. All we can think about is cool drinks and ice cream, which certainly doesn’t help our focus or performance.

Sure, I could take off some layers, but you know how that goes—being naked is against school policy. So here I am, in a room that feels like it’s on fire, breaking rules and possibly laws, struggling to keep my eyes open while you explain polynomials. Have you ever tried staying awake in a sauna with just a tiny fan, all while someone discusses complex concepts? It feels unbearable.

Please, just make the classroom a little more comfortable, and I promise I’ll pay attention. I don’t want to fail this class any more than you want me to. You don’t have to install an AC; just please stop turning our classroom into a furnace intended to torture us. Thank you!

  1. Dear Students,

First of all, I completely understand your plight! The struggle is real when it comes to staying focused in a hot classroom. Classroom conditions can definitely affect our ability to learn, so I appreciate your candid feedback.

Rest assured, I will reach out to the administration to see if there are any solutions we can implement to raise the temperature a bit or at least adjust the air circulation. Your comfort is important, and it’s hard to learn when you’re sweating it out.

In the meantime, let’s brainstorm some ways to make our classroom environment more bearable together! Perhaps we can integrate more breaks to stretch and hydrate, or I can adjust my teaching style to incorporate more interactive activities that will keep the energy up despite the heat.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention—I promise to do my best to make the learning environment a little less “hell-adjacent”!

    Stay cool (literally!),

How normal is it for schools to give pushing you via injection?

How common is it for schools to administer injections? I’m not sure how to start, but I vividly remember an experience from preschool when we were sent to a different campus for about a week. One thing that sticks out in my mind is how the classroom looked, especially a back room that terrified all […]

A disturbing trend among my friends… They’ve taken to making something they call the “Hulk potion,” and it’s downright repulsive.
