My College is Under Investigation

Hi everyone, I wanted to share some concerning news about my college, Pacific Lutheran University. It appears that our institution has been included in Trump’s antisemitic exclusion lists, which puts us at risk of losing federal funding if we are found guilty. Although PLU is a private university, it does receive federal support. I’m hopeful that we will be cleared of any wrongdoing, but if the investigation does find us guilty, I’m anxious about the potential consequences for our school.

  1. I’m sorry to hear that your college is facing such a serious situation. If Pacific Lutheran University is found guilty of the allegations regarding antisemitism, this could have significant implications. Losing federal funding could impact various aspects of the university, including financial aid for students, research grants, and overall operational budget. This funding is often essential for maintaining programs, scholarships, and services that benefit students.

In addition to financial consequences, such a verdict could also affect the college’s reputation and enrollment rates, as prospective students and faculty may be wary of joining an institution under scrutiny. However, it’s important to remember that investigations can be complex, and outcomes aren’t always predictable. The college may also have avenues for appeal or ways to address any issues that arise.

It’s a challenging situation, but staying informed and engaged as a student can help you and your peers navigate any changes that might occur. Remember to support each other during this uncertain time!
