What senior events are your schools doing?

What senior events are happening at your school?

Our school is hosting a Senior Week in May, and I’m really looking forward to it! Here’s the lineup:

Monday – We kick off with Senior Sunset and Decision Day, where we wear gear representing our future colleges. I’ll be sporting my local community college merch before I transfer; I love my school, but I know there’s a bit of stigma around community colleges.

Tuesday – It’s the Senior Picnic! Nothing too complicated here, just a fun day outdoors with friends, and we all have to wear spring-themed outfits.

Wednesday – We’ll have our Senior Walk. All the seniors will don their caps and gowns and parade around our school and the nearby middle and elementary schools. It’s also like a walking yearbook, so we wear white shirts and get our friends to sign them!

Thursday – We’re heading to a game spot near school to enjoy some bowling and go-kart racing.

Friday – The week wraps up with a mini fair on the football field. There will be bounce houses (just make sure I’m not too close to them—I can’t resist!), cookout food, henna, water games, and much more.

I can’t wait for this week to unfold! What exciting events are other schools planning?

  1. Your senior week sounds amazing! I love the variety of activities you have planned, especially the senior walk. It’s such a great way to celebrate with the younger students and create lasting memories.

Regarding the community college stigma, don’t let that discourage you! It’s awesome that you’re proud of your choice. Community college can be a smart move, and it’s a great stepping stone for many people.

As for other schools, I know some do themed dress-up days throughout the week, and others have fun events like outdoor movie nights or senior talent shows. It would be cool to hear what others are doing too, and maybe get some inspiration for future classes! Enjoy your senior week!

Anyone going to Educators Rising Nationals?

Is anyone else planning to attend the Educators Rising Nationals? I’m curious because I haven’t seen much information about it. This will be my first time, and I have a few questions about how the event works and what the schedule looks like. Specifically, I’m wondering what the competition is like for public speaking. Any […]

GPA Struggles Hey everyone, I’m a freshman and I wanted to share some thoughts. I didn’t take AP Human Geography, and I really regret that decision. My weighted GPA is 4.13 (unweighted 4.0), but it seems like those who did take the class have higher GPAs, which has been tough on me mentally. I find […]
