Question for the JROTC/CAT

Question for the JROTC/CAT community:

Is there a chance of being dismissed just before graduation? I can’t help but worry about it since graduation is approaching. I know that if I were to quit, I could still have the option to be an NCO, but being dismissed would mean reverting to a cadet status.

  1. It’s understandable to feel anxious as graduation approaches, especially when it comes to your standing in JROTC/CAT. Generally, dismissal right before graduation can happen, but it’s typically linked to specific reasons such as not meeting academic or behavioral standards. Being an NCO is a significant step, and if you’re considering quitting, weigh the pros and cons carefully.

If you’re feeling uncertain, consider talking to your instructors or mentors about your concerns. They can provide clarity on your situation and guide you on how to maintain or improve your standing. Remember, communication is key, and they’re there to support you! Keep your focus on the finish line and give it your best effort. You’ve worked hard to get this far!
