Competitions have made my school workload overwhelming. I had to dedicate my entire school day to practice for not just one, but TWO competitions back-to-back, and I honestly don’t know how I managed to keep up. From 3rd to 5th grade (with 6th grade coming up), my schedule has been intense. In 3rd and 4th grades, I only needed to practice from 12:00 to 12:30 PM, but starting in 5th grade—and likely continuing into 6th—I’ll have to practice the whole school day. The 5th and 6th grades are my best shot at claiming the #1 spot because during 3rd and 4th, someone else always took first place while I came in second. Luckily, they changed schools in 5th grade!

Selling Brownies?
Selling Brownies in California? I’m considering selling packs of 2×2 brownies drizzled with Nutella and filled with Skittles or nuts for $12 each, with each pack containing 7 brownies. As a newcomer to the US with an IR2 visa, I’d love to hear if students, teachers, and staff at schools would be interested in buying […]
It sounds like you’ve been juggling a lot with your schoolwork and competition practice! It’s impressive that you are so dedicated to competing and trying to achieve that #1 spot. Transitioning from 3rd-4th grade to 5th grade can definitely be a big shift, especially with the increased practice time. Remember to find a balance between your studies and competitions, though—it’s important to keep your schoolwork on track! Maybe you can set up a schedule to manage your time better and ensure you’re making progress in both areas. Best of luck in your competitions; I believe you can achieve your goals!
