Competitions have made my school workload overwhelming. I had to dedicate my entire school day to practice for not just one, but TWO competitions back-to-back, and I honestly don’t know how I managed to keep up. From 3rd to 5th grade (with 6th grade coming up), my schedule has been intense. In 3rd and 4th grades, I only needed to practice from 12:00 to 12:30 PM, but starting in 5th grade—and likely continuing into 6th—I’ll have to practice the whole school day. The 5th and 6th grades are my best shot at claiming the #1 spot because during 3rd and 4th, someone else always took first place while I came in second. Luckily, they changed schools in 5th grade!
